Mount Savannah is situated within the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. This area is a 47000 ha tourism destination which is located between Lanseria, Broederstoom, Hekpoort and Oaktree. The 2000 ha game reserve upon which Mount Savannah is built, is home to rhino, buffalo, giraffe, kudu, red hartebeest, impala, zebra as well as a variety of birdlife.

 After seeing the relationship of elephant and handler / other guests, you will understand the exceptional bond in place between human and elephant.  We are also very conscious of the dignity of these mighty animals, and accordingly have tried to build "interaction" activities around their normal daily routines of roaming and feeding in wild bushveld, rather than forcing the elephants into routines to fit around humans.
