The Cradle Restaurant

The superb cuisine is best described as simple Italian-influenced country food. The subdued and elegant setting encourages long, leisurely visits. The Cradle Restaurant offers arguably the best views of any restaurant in the country.

The restaurant and adjacent building combine to create a dramatic and original wedding venue. A beautiful stone, steel and glass facility is available for ceremonies. Personalized menus are arranged for up to 180 people seated comfortably in the restaurant. A comprehensive wedding package includes options on dj's, florists and accommodation. The balcony can be enclosed in bad weather. Outdoor ceremonies and functions can also be arranged. Weddings of all religions or beliefs are welcome.

The sliding glass front opens out onto a long balcony, offering staggering views. Sites situated along the Motsetse Stream offer idyllic settings for splendidly catered picnics. Guests are treated to a delicious 3-course buffet with bar and waiter service. These private and tranquil "bush-colonial" picnics are available to parties of 10 or more.

A robust and rustic fire and candle-lit banqueting hall, ideal for winter parties of 20 - 60 people is available. Double stable doors open out from this long, thin, monastic room into the veld and the night sky. The dry-stone boma is available for evening functions of 20 - 80 people. Waiter service, spit roasts and a private bar are offered by firelight under the moon and stars.
