Die Ou Pastorie
Magaliesburg - Guesthouse, Restaurant and Events
Guests of Die Ou Pastorie are accommodated in eight individually appointed garden suites, all with views of the Magaliesberg Mountains. Each suite follows a unique theme, with funky, mismatching light fittings, materials and décor providing an eccentric yet welcoming ambience.
All rooms are spacious and en suite with private balconies, and embody both the serenity and vibrancy of Die Ou Pastorie. Each room has air conditioning and DSTV (Limited Bouquet), and hairdryers are available on request.
According to the tenets of our ethos, our cuisine is fresh, locally sourced, indulgent, innovative and seasonal. Our style of food is classic French with a modern twist. Time is taken over cooking preparations and consciousness toward original flavours & blending of tastes is encouraged. No artificial means are used.
We aim to increase community awareness of the value from farm to market of good, clean, locally produced food.
Vegetables where possible, (including our famous organic microgreens) grow freely between and within our on-site ‘edible garden’, and we are closely entwined with neighbouring farmers and producers, ensuring that our guests experience the full freshness and flavour of our beautiful valley.
We serve breakfasts and lunch from Wednesday to Sunday, and are open for dinner from Thursday to Saturday evenings. This is on an a la carte menu basis.
Please relay any dietary requirements with our office when making your reservation.
We are also open for special functions and events, by appointment.
Closely in touch with our country’s artistic exuberance, Die Ou Pastorie provides the idea environment in which to showcase its talent. Musical concerts, art exhibitions, historical storytelling and performance art take place while guests dine under the trees, absorbing both the intricacies of the show and the tranquil beauty of their surroundings.
Notable performers to visit Die Ou Pastorie include legendary South African musicians Steve Newman, Guy Buttery, Arno Carstens, Greg Georgiades and Dan Patlansky. Join our mailing list for information about upcoming events!
